The Sir William Powell Almshouses were founded in 1680 for older women over 60 of the Parish of Fulham who were poor and of "good character". This scheme was amended on 23rd April 2003 to allow Trustees to accept applications from women over 55 living outside the Parish of Fulham but only in exceptional circumstances.
The Trust provides and manages 12 flats and continues to be assisted in this task by The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation who undertake the administration, management and maintenance functions for the Almshouses.
