Hammersmith United Charities is an Almshouse charity with a gross income of over £1.2 million. Hammersmith United Charities provides homes for people over 60 within the area of benefit who are living on a low income and who would otherwise find it difficult to fund suitable homes for themselves. A limited number of women over 55 may also qualify. Trustees also have the power to make grants to groups or individuals in the area of benefit to alleviate deprivation and hardship.
