AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR INDEPENDENT NHS COMPLAINTS ADVOCACY SERVICE

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 transfers the remit and funding to local authorities to commission NHS Complaints Advocacy. The new service is required to be in place from 1st April 2013. The Cabinet is asked to approve the award of a call-off contract with the preferred supplier, Voiceability Advocacy, to supply a complaints advocacy service under a framework contract set up by London Borough of Hounslow. As the value of the contract exceeds £100k it is a Key Decision requiring Cabinet approval.
