Contract Award for Hammersmith & Fulham’s Genito Urinary Medicine (GUM) services

The report seeks approval to award the Hammersmith & Fulham Genito Urinary Medicine (GUM) Sexual and Reproductive Health service as part of the London Sexual Health Programme to Chelsea and Westminster Foundation NHS Trust, to commence on 5th August 2025 following a robust procurement process under PSR 2023 Direct Award Process C. This service is a mandated function under the Health and Social Care Act (2012), which requires each local authority to provide, or secure the provision of, open access sexual health services in its area including: access to all types of contraception, preventing the acquisition and transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs); treating, testing and caring for people with STIs and partner notification.
