This report seeks
approval of the annual highway maintenance work programme for
2020-2021. A key driver for this work is improving the quality of
our street scene to give residents and businesses prise in the
borough. This work is planned preventative maintenance, aimed at
prolonging the life of the Highway infrastructure within the
borough.
We aim to improve efficiency and provide maximum value for money
co-ordinating as far as possible maintenance works with the
implementation of LIP projects. We are coordinating footways with
the need to plan more trees so use our planned maintenance on
footways to increase opportunities for adding tree pits.
