Procurement of White goods - Fire Safety Plus

Full Council on 19th July 2017 agreed that urgent Fire Safety Plus checks must be carried out to all council tenanted and leaseholder properties as part of our response to ensure the safety of our residents. It was agreed to replace appliances for any resident if they failed a portable appliance test (PAT). Agreement is required to procure the white goods to replace those that fail the test.

 

Reasons for Urgency:

The tests start on Monday 21st August,  if an appliance fails it has to have the plug removed so that it cannot be used. An urgent decision is required to allow the procurement of replacement appliances so that residents are not left without a cooker, fridge or other
