In 2014 the Labour Party made a manifesto
commitment in their ‘The change we need’ document that
if elected they would seek to afford the borough’s parks and
open spaces with better protection.
This report seeks Cabinet approval enter an individual Deed of
Dedication with Fields in Trust (where appropriate) to protect the
borough's parks and open spaces.
This approach has been endorsed by both the Parks Commission and
the Community Safety, Environment and Residents Services Policy and
Accountability Committee.
