Commissioning the Local Healthwatch service

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 requires a local Healthwatch service to be provided in each local authority area that has social care responsibilities. The existing contract comes to a close at the end of the 2015/16 financial year and this report seeks approval for a new contractual arrangement for 2016/17 and 2017/18, with an option to extend to 2018/19.
