Issue details

Hammersmith Town Hall - Remodelling and Refurbishment

The Council is required, under the terms of a Development Agreement and Agreement for Lease dated 19 March 2008 with King Street Developments (Hammersmith) Ltd, to vacate the Town Hall Extension building at the time its new offices in Nigel Playfair Avenue have been completed and are available for occupation. Whilst some staff will relocate to the new offices, the balance will need to be accommodated in the Town Hall.

The Council’s lease on 145 King Street has a break provision in 2017 and the implications of relocating those staff and services are explored.

The Cabinet report addresses the works necessary, procurement issues involved and accommodation strategy implications of accommodating staff in the Town Hall.
