The Cabinet Member for Children and Education approves:

1.    That Appendices 1 and 2 are not for publication on the basis that they contain information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) as set out in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

1.    The award of a contract to HATS Group Ltd (Olympic South) for the provision of Travel Care minibus services from 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2029 with the option to extend for a further two years.

The Local Authority has a statutory duty to provide home to school transport provisions as per the Education Act 1996. For Adults, the Care Act 2014 stipulates a duty to Local Authorities to meet assessed needs.

The current contract expires on the 31 July 2024 with no option to extend.

Option 1 – Award a contract to HATS Group (Olympic South) for the provision of Travel Care minibus services (recommended)

Option 2 – Do not award a contract for the provision of Travel Care minibus services (not recommended)
