Purpose:

Report seeks pre-tender approval for the procurement strategy which sets out the intention to tender for the specialist care and support service which will be provided at Emlyn Gardens

Decision:

1.         To note that Appendix 2 is not for publication on the basis that it contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any person (including the authority holding that information) as set out in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

 

2.         That the Business Case & Procurement Strategy for the procurement of one learning disability contract as set out in Appendix 1 attached, in accordance with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders (CSO) (18.1), be approved.

 

Reasons for the decision:

The aim of the Emlyn Gardens: Adults with Learning Disabilities Supported Living Procurement Strategy is to enable people with learning disabilities to remain in the borough, close to their family and their circles of support and in doing so deliver better outcomes, value for money, improved quality and choice and control for our residents.
