Purpose:

A report recommending the approval an extension of contract sum in order to finalise the works for 43 Beavor Lane and 145 King Street.

Decision:

That the Strategic Director for the Economy, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for the Economy and the Arts, authorises the variation and inclusion of packages of works to the Call-Off Contract with Syntec Projects Ltd dated 24th June 2019 based upon the benchmarking exercises undertaken, and the additional expenditure required to settle the contract sum, as detailed in Appendix A of the report.

Reasons for the decision:

The decision to vary the contract for the fit out of 43 Beavor Lane and 145 King Street allows for the continued progress and delivery of the Civic Campus programme within the ambitious timescales that have been set by the Council.
