Purpose:
1. That the Contract extension be agreed.
2. That the Cabinet Member for Children and Education receives an update on contract performance in October 2018.
3. That a Strategic Review is undertaken on the Council’s future needs and requirements for School Asset Management, ICT and financial support, with a report to be submitted to the Cabinet Member for Children and Education in December 2018.

Reasons for the decision:
This decision to extend the Contract was made in December 2017 in a Leaders Urgency Report. This report describes the practical implementation of that decision.
Alternative options considered:
The decision to extend this Contract was made in the Leader’s Urgent Decision report in December 2017. The decision to extend the Contract was necessary to ensure continuity in services to schools whilst a review is undertaken.
