Purpose:

Proposal to upgrade Microsoft Office to support collaborative tri borough working while also renewing the workplace IT device (PC) offer and the core desktop infrastructure to replace end-of-life hardware and software, increasing flexibility of deployment.

Decision:

1.   That the new Workplace Strategy, which will deliver new virtual desktops to the entire Council starting from January 2012, be approved.

 

2.   That expenditure of £746,319, to be funded from the IT infrastructure projects revenue budget, be approved.
