Purpose:
Approval of funding strategy for cost of
living activity in 2023/24.
Decision:
That the Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion and Community Safety approve the Cost of Living Funding Strategy for 2023/24 of up to £3,978,750.
Reasons for the decision:
H&F is required to establish priorities for the use of the Household Support Fund grant in 2023/24, which will be used for projects and activities in this funding strategy in line with guidance for the use of HSF. Commitments and spend against the HSF will be reported quarterly to DWP. As the funding strategy will have a significant impact on two or more wards and is more than £300,000 but less than £5m, it requires approval by the Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion and Community Safety, as the lead member for the cost of living crisis.
