16/03/2020 - Contract Award Report - Contractor Appointment for Demolition of Hartopp Point and Lannoy Point ref: 4106    Recommendations Approved

This report seeks approval from the Strategic Director for The Economy Department to award a contract for the demolition of ‘Hartopp Point and Lannoy Point’. The Cabinet Report of 29th April 2019 authorised the procurement of a demolition contractor for the blocks.

Decision:

It is recommended that he Strategic Director for The Economy Department::

 

1.     Following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing, approves the award of contract to, CNC Group Holdings Limited trading under the Coleman Group, to undertake the Demolition of Hartopp Point and Lannoy Point for a total contract sum of £2,649,782.20.

 

2.     Approves the appointment of CNC Group Holdings Limited under a Letter of Intent to allow the commencement of works immediately to cover the works indicated in Appendix 1 with a maximum value of £974,978.00.

 

3.     Approves the contingency set out in Appendix 4 (not for publication) and authorises Matt Rumble (Head of Area Regeneration), to take decisions on expenditure against the approved contingency sum.

16/03/2020 - Impact Award Decision ref: 4102    Recommendations Approved

Decision to award contract for procurement to successful tender applicants for both Monitoring & Review (Lot 1) and IDVA Provision (Lot 2).

 

Reasons for urgency:

Due to the short timescales for the contract starting (1st April start) the decision needs to be taken promptly.

Decision:

1.1.       Appendix 2 is not for publication on the basis that it contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) as set out in paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

 

1.2.        That the Strategic Director for Environment, in consultation with the Deputy Leader, approves the award of the Impact Project Performance & Review services to Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (STADV) at a value of £25,000 per annum for a period of up to three years (one year contract from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021, with an option to extend for a further two years dependent on the availability of external funding beyond March 2021).

 

1.3.        That the Strategic Director for Environment, in consultation with the Deputy Leader, approves the award of the Impact Project Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy services to Advance Advocacy Services (Advance) at a value of £75,000 per annum for a period of up to three years (one year contract from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021, with an option to extend for a further two years dependent on the availability of external funding beyond March 2021).

13/03/2020 - Corporate Planned Maintenance Programme (CPMP) 2020/2021 ref: 4104    Recommendations Approved

The purpose of this report is to provide proposals for the delivery and funding of the 2020/2021 Corporate Planned Maintenance Programme (CPMP) for the Council’s corporate property portfolio.

2.             That the Cabinet Member approves the 2020/21 Corporate Planned Maintenance Programme (CPMP) budget as set out in exempt appendix 1.

 

2.1       That the 2020/2021 CPMP monitoring report be prepared for the Cabinet Member every quarter to track the delivery of projects and show any deviations over or under £5,000 compared to the original key decision report for the year. Projects with variations under £5,000 are to be reported in the summary as a financial adjustment within the report.

 

2.2       That the procurement of capital plant and equipment, works, and services contained within the forward plan be approved in line with Contract Standing Orders under the cover of this report
